I fell in love with this fabric on the May long weekend while attending the International Quilt Market in Pittsburgh.  It caught my eye from way down the aisle in a large convention space.  I don't know if it was the colour, or the graphic quality of the birds, which were a stand out from far away, but I really loved it.  

Echino is one of my all time favourite fabric designers so I'm so thrilled to have a few prints from this talented woman in the shop.  Please check them out and let me know what you think.

I am so excited, it's finally here.  I love felt.  I love the colours, the flexibility, I love that nothing needs hemming and I love the inspiration. I immediately start thinking about what I'm going to make next.  Woolfelt is the best felt to work with.  It's a blend of wool and rayon and that makes it softer, easy to work with and the colours are excellent.  I had a lot of fun choosing which colours to get into the store.  It's a good mix of colours for the holiday, or any day.  They are vibrant and super pretty.  

I hope you like working with it as much as I do.

A great graphic and bold take on vintage inspired graphics with symmetry, repeats, and contrast.  I want to sew with this right away.

Cotton + Steel was launched at the Spring Quilt Market after months of buzz on social media and the kind of building anticipation you see when talented and masterful artists start talking about something new.  A collective of 5 designers, among the top in the fabric world, came together to create an integrated, unique and beautiful collection of modern fabric.  Made up of 5 collections and a broad range of basics that support all of the collections.  And, while their are 5 distinct styles and design approaches to the collections, the palettes work interchangeably, the mood is consistent, the quality is consistent and the possibilities are endless.  We've chosen what we think are the best fabrics in the collection and lots of basics to support these choices.  We love them and we think you're going to love them too.

I'm very excited to announce my first addition to the Fabric Spark "staff".  I have to go out of town a few times over the next couple of months and I didn't want anyone to have to wait for their fabric.  Enter Lizz!
