The 2026 Colour Challenge

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE
You can click this link to vote for your favourite quilt. Choose carefully, you only get one vote.
The Challenge
Create a quilt incorporating ALL of the following five Colorworks solid colours,
Matcha, Eggshell, Tender Heart, Coral, Young Love
You are free to introduce ANY other colours or fabrics into to your work, or you can stick to our five, BUT, you have to use all five colours.
All quilt styles and techniques will be welcome! There is no minimum size, but the quilt cannot be larger than 60” square. Please see below for a full list of all the rules.
Fabric Bundles
Fabric Spark is selling fat quarter bundles, half-yard bundles, and one-yard bundles in the challenge's Colorworks'

PreQuilt for Designing
We have worked with our friends at Pre-Quilt* to make your designing process easier. They have the colours loaded and have made a helpful video so you can play with your design digitally before you start cutting your fabric.
Submission Deadline
Submissions will be due by May 31. Photos are to be sent to create@fabricpsparkteam.com with “Colour Challenge” in the subject line.
Voting
A link to a gallery of the photos will be shared in the newsletter where the Fabric Spark community will vote on their favourite entry, (for the purpose of voting, entries will be anonymous).
Prizes
We have a fantastic prize package including fabric, design software, and visibility for your entry. The prize for our audience favourite includes:
- A Quiltessentials fat quarter bundle including all 36 fabrics from the collections, a pack of Thimtec thimble tape in "Lemonade", a pack of two Aleene's Temporary glue sticks and a box of wavy washi tape (3 rolls)

The winning submission will hang in our shop for a month for all to see and will be published in the Fabric Spark newsletter and socials.
