Indian Fabric Is Here

Indian Fabric Is Here

We've been so looking forward to these arrivals.

First, we had the Indian Block Print - Cottage collection from Fableism. We loved it so much we jumped on the chance to make a beautiful quilt from one of the fat quarter bundles.

It turned out so great, that a few of the Fabric Spark team are now at work on their own version. A summery and light quilt that will add cheer and a little colour to any room.

Then the giant shipment of Indian prints on Cambic Cotton arrived. We've been hard at it getting the prints all photographed and listed to bring you our favourites from one of out wonderful new found suppliers.

We brought in a range of traditional and more modern fabrics...

These are the designs and the aesthetic that always bring me back to Jaipur textiles. I love the Mughal  era florals, paisleys and animal motifs, and I love the updates, like the striped backgrounds and vibrant new colours.

We also brought in a number of modern prints that reflect a more contemporary design style (below). These prints can sometimes be a little less artisanal but they do have a uniquely Indian look and feel. We love them all.

We recommend washing these fabrics in cold water and hang drying (which we actually recommend for all of your garment and quilt fabrics - it's easier on them and the environment).

Please remember to show us what you do with your fabric. We'd love to be tagged in your social media posts, or come on into the store and show off your creativity.

Whether you opt for Fableism or our direct from India imports, these are unique and beautiful fabrics that will give you lots of ideas for making!
