Quilt Fundamentals with Jeannie Jenkins - Learn to make a quilt by machine - 6 classes
Learn the fundamentals of quilt making with a sewing machine. You'll learn all the steps of making a quilt including cutting fabric using a rotary cutter and ruler, you'll learn to accurately maintain seam allowances, and you'll make two types of quilt blocks that can be assembled to make multiple different patterns. In the process you'll understand fabric placement, assembly and using a design wall to finalize the look you're after. You'll learn to put together and base a quilt sandwich, how to quilt your sandwich on a sewing machine and then bind it off. Once you've made this quilt, you'll be able to take on hundreds of other quilt patterns.
Taught by Jeannie Jenkins - a life-long sewist and award-winning quiltmaker. Jeannie shares her quiltmaking passion by teaching both beginner and intermediate classes. She is a professional longarm quilter and designer of beautiful quits. She wrote the book Contemporary Paper-Pieced Quilts, published by Landauer Publishing.

The workshop includes the pattern and instructions. Fabric, thread and sewing tools are not included. You'll get a detailed email from us a couple of weeks before the workshop outlining what types of fabric to buy and in what quantities.
Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
