In this workshop, you'll learn to make the ultimate workhorse quilt. It's designed to live in your car, (or in your hall closet) with a sturdy backing up to the job of lying on the grass, on a beach, or on a picnic table. A cozy way to lay in the sun, have a picnic, or just while away an afternoon on the grass with a book. 
It's a deceptively simple quilt with a canvas/denim backing, straps for tying and a versatile self-bound finish. 
 

Details

Difficulty - Confident Beginner - Basic Sewing Skills (you can thread and operate a sewing machine) and are at least 14 years old

Teacher - Shirley Dawson

Supply List - Note - We'll provide the instructions. We have Pfaff Passport sewing machines for your use in the class. You will get a detailed email in advance of the class but please plan to bring your fabric (9 fat quarters plus backing), webbing (2 yards) and thread and your sewing kit (scissors, pins, measuring tape, a chalk/pencil, and any tools you like to use when sewing garments.) 

We have sewing notions that you can borrow for the duration of the class. 

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 2 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place, otherwise you will forfeit your spot and the class fee.
