Persimmon by Rashida Coleman-Hale - Persimmon Blossoms in Warm Red

When Ruby Star launched this collection by Rashida Coleman-Hale, they included a full character description of Bun E. and Simmy, it's pretty cute, so we're sharing it here. 

Bunjamin Hopkins Ears (the adorable bunny character) - "Carries a tiny sketchbook everywhere. Sometimes a bunny has to draw something, you know? Has never met a quilt he didn't love. They're necessary for snuggles with Simmy! Hates getting his ears wet. He likes to bake but he's not very good, yet."

Simmy (a persimmon) - "Doesn't know she's a fruit. Who's going to tell her? Loves to colour outside the lines. Persimmons are nature's rebels of course. Her favourite season is fall. Likes to do yoga, but sometimes gets stuck in downard dog."

Rashida is the mother of 4 so it's possible that, in the great tradition of Star Wars, and Winnie-the-Pooh, Bun E. and Simmy were created for her little ones. Lucky us to be the beneficiaries. 

Spark -Rashida is a great designer, so don't limit your thinking to kid's projects. These fabrics are beautiful for quilts, bags, pouches, and anything else you might use quilting cotton for. The colour palette would be beautiful in the Wagon Wheel pattern by Denyse Schmidt, you could do each wheel of a square throw in a different fabric. 

Please note that all fabric is sold in 1/2 yard increments. If you want 1 yard, please order a quantity of 2. If you want 2 yards, you will need to order a quantity of 4.
