Libs Elliott is hosting a Quilt Along for the colourful, dramatic and beautiful Bloem quilt pattern! We love the new Atomic fabric so much we thought we'd put it together with the Bloem pattern in a kit for participants.
The Sew Along is running for 9 WEEKS from September 18th to November 13th. You can find all the details on Libs SAL page.
NOTE - The BLOEM Along will be hosted in Libs' new SEW SQUAD exclusively for members. All sew along posts and communication will be done via the Sew Squad community site. Membership in the Sew Squad is not included in the purchase price of the kit. JOIN THE SEW SQUAD HERE TO PARTICIPATE. When you join the SEW SQUAD, you will also have access to everything in the community - on-demand tutorials, live guest workshops & lectures, sewcial events, free patterns and quilting resources.
About the Kit - The kit includes the fabric and pattern you need to complete Version 1 of the quilt top.
About the Fabric - We have beautiful colours of Libs' "Atomic" fabric collection due to arrive in August. See image 3 for the colours we've chosen to produce Version 1, which is the layout you can see on the cover of the pattern (image 2). There is a total of 8 1/4 yards of fabric in the kit.
Choose between the White and Pale Grey Atomic print or a solid white for the background.
About the Pattern - BLOEM (pronounced: bloom) is a confident beginner-friendly pattern that is made with regular machine piecing. There are two size options and 6 possible layouts included in the pattern. For the kit, we're assuming the larger 64" square size, and the layout featured on the cover of the pattern. (Fabric requirements are a little different for other versions or sizes). Paper templates are included in the pattern, but acrylic templates are available for purchase from PaperPieces.com.
Quilt Size - Our kit will include enough fabric to make the 64" square quilt. If you want a 48" kit, let us know and we'll send you a quote.
Difficulty - Advanced beginner to intermediate.
Schedule - We're scheduled to get the fabric in August and will cut and ship the kits as soon as it arrives. The sew along schedule is as follows:
