Indian Cotton 2025 - Jaipur Block Printed Cotton Cambric - White Flowers on Cobalt

In the Jaipur area, the dominant methods for printing cotton fabrics are block printing, done one small image and colour at a time, and the screen printing process, considered a more "mechanical" method but still very "hands on" with artisans moving back and forth along the yardage length, pulling prints, one colour or screen at a time. Either way, the fabric is transformed through hand applied labour and the result is a beautiful colourful and one of a kind print. 

Important note - Hand printed and dyed fabrics will have irregularities and imperfections. They may also have the odd bit of sand because they are usually created in an open air environment. Please expect these anomalies and appreciate them as a feature of a hand crafted process. 

We recommend washing these fabrics in cold water and hang drying (which we actually recommend for all of your garment and quilt fabrics - it's easier on them and the environment). 

NOTE - this print is directionally oriented perpendicular to the selvedge, the flowers are "sideways" on the length of fabric.

Spark - Like the block printed cottons, these prints are perfect for garment making and will transform into a beautiful top or dress.
