Free-Wheeling Single Girl - Quilt Workshop
In this workshop, you'll learn to make the Free Wheeling Single Girl quilt block by Denyse Schmidt. This beautiful update on a classic inspired hundreds of quilts in an Instagram Quilt Along. The workshop will focus on putting your fabrics together, (colour, scale) using and cutting with a quilt template* and how to make a curved seam. You'll finish a block by the end of the day.
Details
Difficulty - Advanced beginner, you can use a rotary cutter and acrylic ruler, maintain a 1/4" seam allowance, and do very basic quilt math.

You will need to bring your own fabric and thread. We have Pfaff Passport sewing machines for your use in the class, if you prefer to bring your own machine, you're welcome to do that instead. Please bring your fabric and sewing kit (rotary cutter, pins or wonder clips, any tools you like to use when piecing a quilt block). A detailed list of materials will be sent in advance of the class.
Pattern Notes - The pattern is Denyse Schmidt's Free-Wheeling Single Girl Quilt, an updated version of the traditional double wedding ring quilts you may be treasuring from past generations. The pattern includes guidelines for improvising or for following the pattern. It includes templates, and measurements for baby, twin, queen or king size quilts and pillow shams.

*We are hoping to have a limited number of plastic template rulers for this pattern. If you're interested in purchasing a set ($72.95) please let us know and we'll set them aside for you.
