Echino - Soaring Yellow

 Etsuko Furuya created the design brand Echino after graduating from design school in Kyoto.  Echino fabrics are always among my favourites.  I love how modern and graphic the designs are, the colour choices are original and the impression is always unique.  

Soaring in yellow is a beautiful cotton sateen.  It has a super smooth "hand", quite like Art Gallery.  This is a vibrant fabric with the stunning mix of greys and mustard.  The latter, with a slight hint of green underneath.  There is the occassional metallic touch of silver on the smaller triangles too.  As she often does, you see a little injection of nature in the bird etching, amidst the bold graphic lines.

Spark - This would make a striking shift dress with the bolder graphics towards the hem, also beautiful drapes or occasional pillows on a grey sofa.
