Baltic Woodland by Maria Galybina - Wild Animals
From Lithuania, Maria Galybina is inspiring us with a woodland mix of deeply coloured images. Isn't the colour palette fantastic? We also all loved her bold illustrations and the contrasting of simplicity (the clouds) and intricate detail (wild animals).
Spark - Any one of these would make a striking quilt back, but I love the idea of picking a different solid for each print and mixing up a lot of HST's in a quilt. Cut the blocks big enough to be able to appreciate the animals, clouds, cranes and mushrooms!
