April Rhodes - The Date Night Dress

Beautiful sewing patterns from April Rhodes.  

The date night dress is a fun flirty and flattering dress that will look great belted or hanging.  This pattern also includes a simple slip dress pattern in case you want to create a layered effect or wear it on it's own. 

Suggested fabrics are light weight and with a nice drape including voile, rayon, double gauze, shot cotton, silk, chambray or linen blends.  

Fabric Requirements for 45" wide fabric are

Date Night Dress - 2 3/8 yards for xs-m, 3 yards for l-xxl 

Slip Dress - 1 7/8 yards for sx-m, 2 yards for l-xxl

THE DATE NIGHT DRESS is an effortless garment with subtle drama. The flutter sleeves flatter arms and the open armhole can be slightly sultry, offering a teasing peek at the Simple Slip or perhaps a lacy bra underneath. There are several ways to style--wear it loose, with a ready-made belt, with shirring, or with a fabric sash. Both the box pleat at the back of the neck and the soft shirttail hem add a bit more interest, and you can show as much or as little leg as you like by shortening or lengthening the pattern pieces.

SIMPLE SLIP is a quick-to-sew, easy-to-wear piece. It’s perfect for layering under any dress, but completely suitable for wearing alone. It’s especially comfy for bed!
