In this workshop, you'll learn to make a terrific quilt block that could serve you in many ways in your quilty future. Strip quilts (or string quilts) are a wonderful way to use up scraps, or to get a fun range of fabrics into an efficient and varied block. 

Details

Difficulty - Confident Beginner - Basic Sewing Skills (you can thread and operate a sewing machine) and are at least 14 years old

Teacher - Shirley Dawson

Supply List - Note - the workshop includes the pattern. We have Pfaff Passport sewing machines for your use in the class. You will get a detailed email in advance of the class but please plan to bring your fabric and thread and your sewing kit (scissors, pins, measuring tape, a chalk/pencil, and any tools you like to use when sewing garments.) For the fabric, you will be learning to make the block with 2" strips, fat quarters, and smaller pieces of fabric.

We have sewing notions that you can borrow for the duration of the class. 

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 2 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place, otherwise you will forfeit your spot and the class fee.
