Spring/Summer Mending - Friday May 24 1:00 - 4:00

In this 3 hour workshop you'll learn how to repair woven fabrics, including mending jeans, repairing holes, covering stains, reinforcing cotton clothing for a longer life, or embellishing something you love. 

Diana, our teacher, is a  local contemporary textile artist, College textile arts educator,  and avid visible mender.

Supply List - We will provide each student with a needle, and a selection of mending threads. (colour selection will be on a first come, first served basis - if you have a strong preference, please let us know in the notes section of your order and we will try and accommodate).

We will send a detailed reminder at least a week before the workshop, but you should plan on bringing

- some of your own clothing (or your family's clothing) that you can work on during the class. It can be something with a hole, is stained, or is wearing thin.

- your own sewing kit with small scissors or snips, your favourite needles, thimble, notepad and pen. You are also encouraged to bring any of your own embroidery floss, or anything else that you're hoping to work  with. 

Note - we are capping the class at 9 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
