In this class, you will learn to install three different zippers

  • regular zipper
  • lapped zipper
  • invisible zipper

You'll also get instructions on using zipper tape, feeding a zipper pull, and trimming zippers. 

Students must be at least 14 years old.

Difficulty: You know how to use a sewing machine, have done some basic sewing and are ready to take on zippers with more confidence.

Pre-Requisites: You should have taken Sewing School 101 or have the equivalent experience. You should also have some comfort changing a presser foot on a sewing machine.

Supplies Provided:

For this workshop, the zippers, fabric and thread are included. Please plan on bringing your own sewing kit. You'll learn to install these zippers on one of our Pfaff Passport 3.0 sewing machines.

Need to bring:

You will be sent a detailed email in advance of the workshop, but you will really only need a notebook and pen. As above, the zippers, thread and fabric for making samples are included.

Cancellations and Refunds

We are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3
participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase
price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at
least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you
can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send
someone in your place.
