Sewing School is designed to give you increasing levels of sewing know-how. Our 2.0 series is meant for people who know the basics. Maybe you've completed the projects in our original series (or have equivalent experience) and are looking to enhance your  sewing tool kit, or maybe you just want to take on more challenging sewing projects.

The 2.0 classes are focussed on a specific aspect of sewing and will take a deeper dive into the various methods that could be used. 

Details - The Zipper Workshop - In this class, you will learn to install three different zippers

  • regular zipper
  • lapped zipper
  • invisible zipper

You'll also get instructions on using zipper tape, feeding a zipper pull, and trimming zippers. 

Difficulty - You know how to use a sewing machine, have done some basic sewing and are ready to take on zippers with more confidence.

Supply List -  You will be sent a detailed note in advance of the class with anything you need to bring, but for this workshop, the zippers, fabric and thread are included. Please plan on bringing your own sewing kit. You'll learn to install these zippers on one of our Pfaff Passport 3.0 sewing machines.

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place or forfeit the workshop fee. 

 Students must be at least 14 years old.
