Perfect Pattern Fit Workshop
In this class, your instructor will be conducting a personal fitting of a basic bodice and sleeve using the tissue fitting method. You will begin to learn how to identify fit changes based on your body and discover how to implement them into your pattern. The final result will be a personalized sloper that is custom fit for you. The sloper can be used for personal pattern drafting, and the adjustments made in your fitting session can be done to other patterns to achieve a better personal fit.
Timing - This workshop series includes 4 classes held over 5 weeks. We split the second class for maximum time with your instructor for personalized fit so half the students will attend weeks 1,2,4,5 and half will attend weeks 1,3,4,5. Please choose between the two timing options when booking your class.
All classes will be 6:00 - 9:00 PM
Who Should Take This Class - To get the most out of this workshop series, you should have had some experience sewing garments. It is not an introductory course and will assume you have knowledge of laying out, cutting, and following a garment pattern. Also, you can expect to do some homework between some of the classes.

What's included - The starting pattern and fabric for testing is included in the workshop price, you will get a detailed list of what to bring closer to the class, but here is some helpful information.
Please plan to bring - Scissors (paper and fabric), Magic scotch tape, Thread, Measuring tape, Pins, Seam ripper, Pen for marking fabric, Please bring a close-fitting camisole or shirt for the fitting portion of each class. If you do not have any of these items, please check with us. We have many of these things available to purchase or borrow for use during the class.
NOTE - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
