You're learned the basics of using a sewing machine now it's time to start putting your new skills to work. this is the perfect follow up project. Learn to make this versatil and attractive tote bag. You'll learn to make a handle, how to make french seams and you'll build confidence in your new sewing endeavor.

Difficulty: Beginner (you know how to use a sewing machine, but are still learning how to sew)

Pre-Requisites: Our Learn To Sew - Machine Basics class or equivalent

Supplies Provided:

In this workshop we provide 1/2 metre of your choice of quilting cotton fabric, a spool of  coordinating thread and instructions. 

Need to bring:

You'll get a detailed email a couple of weeks before the workshop letting you know what to bring but you can anticipate that you will need a basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, marking pencil, etc.). We also encourage you to come to the shop ahead of your class to pick out your fabric and thread so that you're ready to go when the class starts.

If you do not have the sewing tools, we have sewing kits you can borrow, or you can purchase most of them in the store.

Cancellations and Refunds

We are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3
participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase
price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at
least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you
can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send
someone in your place.
