Improv Letters with Johanna Masko

Make a statement with improvised patchwork lettering! In this workshop, we will break down the alphabet into groups with similar characteristics. By applying specific construction strategies, we will bring our bold letterforms to life in fabric.  Johanna will discuss fabric selection and will also share a variety of typeface inspiration to help you confidently have your say in patchwork.

Supply List - You will get a detailed email a couple weeks ahead of the class but in the meantime, assume you will need to bring your sewing kit (thread, fabric snips, etc.) ideally a 6"x12" ruler, rotary cutter, and a half metre each of a light and dark fabric. All of these are available to purchase in the store and we have sewing kits available to borrow for the duration of the class.

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 2 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
