Sisterhood Quilt Swap - fabric kit

@happysewlucky has created the Sisterhood Quilt Swap to celebrate International Women's Day and benefit Beautiful World Canada, an organization near and dear to my heart (see below).

The swap is fun and will connect you with other quilters. You sign up on Berene's Etsy page and buy the pattern, she'll put you in a circle of 8 quilters. You make 8 quadrants of the block and keep one. Send the other 7 to the other members of your circle and you'll get one back from each of them. You can then assemble your block from the 8 pieces made by everyone in your circle, including you. A tangible example of the Quilting sisterhood. All of the proceeds from the pattern and sign up are going to Beautiful World Canada. 

This kit will provide the fabric for the low volume backgrounds and head and arm pieces. You choose the dress fabric from your stash or scraps.  We are also donating $10.00 from every kit to Beautiful World.

Beautiful World Canada - I've been on the Board of this amazing organization for 4 years. I can tell you that they provide comprehensive scholarships to some of the most impoverished girls in Africa. Many are Ebola or Aids orphans or former child soldiers. The scholarships include everything from toothpaste to tuition so that the girls are housed, clothed, mentored, supported, and nourished while they're in school. They are educated from Grade 6 through high school and post-secondary school, as far as they can go. There is impressive research on the effects of educating girls and the impact they have lifting their families and whole communities out of poverty. This is the perfect way to celebrate International Women's Day.

The kit includes

The kit includes 8 fat eighths of low volume fabrics and 4 solids for the faces and arms (solid pieces are 4" x 10"). You add the dress fabrics to create the colour impact you want.
