Our tote is a great size for a book bag or generous purse. It as cloth handles, is fully lined, has an interior pocket and boxed corners for easy packing and finding. You will learn

  • Sewing Machine Overview (threading, tension, bobbin, stitch length)
  • Measuring and cutting fabric
  • Different types of Seams
  • Boxed Corner
  • Pocket
  • Top Stitching

Students must be at least 14 years old.

Difficulty: Absolute Beginner

Pre-Requisites: None!

Supplies Provided:

In this workshop we provide the fabric, coordinating thread, pattern/instructions.

Need to bring:

You'll get a detailed email a couple of weeks before the workshop letting you know what to bring but you can anticipate that you will need a basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, marking pencil, etc.). We also encourage you to come to the shop ahead of your class to pick out your fabric and thread so that you're ready to go when the class starts.

If you do not have the sewing tools, you can borrow or purchase most of them in the store.

Cancellations and Refunds

We are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3
participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase
price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at
least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you
can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send
someone in your place.
