Learn to make this cute and versatile pouch for cosmetics, electronics (chargers and ear buds), sewing supplies, or anything you want to keep organized. Also, once you know how to make a cute, lined zipper pouch, your gift giving will be transformed. The pouch is fully lined, uses a stabilizer for structure and shape, and has a cute contrasting zipper. In the class you'll learn to

  • install a zipper
  • use interfacing
  • make boxed corners
  • install a lining
  • top stitch
  • we will also demonstrate zipper extenders and piecing your pouch with multiple fabrics

Students must be at least 14 years old.

Difficulty: Beginner

Pre-Requisites: You have taken Sewing School 101 or done some basic sewing and know how a sewing machine works.

Supplies Provided:

The pattern/instructions and materials are included. We also supply two fabric fat quarters of your choice for the outer and inner pouch, interfacing, matching thread and a coordinated zipper.

Need to bring:

You'll get a detailed email a couple of weeks before the workshop letting you know how which sewing tools to bring but you can also anticipate that you will need a basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, marking pencil, etc.). We also encourage you to come to the shop ahead of your class to pick out your fabric and thread so that you're ready to go when the class starts.

If you do not have the sewing tools, you can borrow or purchase most of them in the store.

Cancellations and Refunds

We are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3
participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase
price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at
least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you
can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send
someone in your place.
