Learn the fundamentals of quilt making by sewing machine. You'll learn the 4 foundation blocks of most quilts, all the basic skills for quilt making, including how to choose fabric, interpret the pattern, piece your blocks, make the quilt sandwich, machine quilt your work and then bind it off. Once you've made this quilt, you'll be able to take on hundreds of other quilt patterns.  

Taught by Jeannie Jenkins - a life-long sewist and award-winning quiltmaker. Jeannie shares her quiltmaking passion by teaching both beginner and intermediate classes. She is a professional longarm quilter and designer of beautiful quits. She wrote the book Contemporary Paper-Pieced Quilts, published by Landauer Publishing.

10 weeks

NOTE - For the session starting October 11 -For the first class only, we will break you into two groups, group 1 will run from 3:00 - 4:30, group 2 will run from 4:30 to 6:00. You can choose your time slot when you're purchasing the class. For all subsequent classes they will run 3:00 - 5:00

For the session starting November 6 - For the first class only, we will break you into two groups, group 1 will run from 5:00 - 6:30, group 2 will run from 6:30 to 8:00. You can choose your time slot when you're purchasing the class. For all subsequent classes they will run 6:00 - 8:00. This session will also be taking a break on 11/27, 12/25 and 1/1. The 10 weeks will be complete1/29.

Fabric Requirements - details to be provided 

The workshop includes the pattern and instructions. Fabric, thread and sewing tools are not included. 

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
