Martha Negley Trees - Medley in Multi
She's back - Martha Negley was a wonderful Free Spirit designer for several years and then stopped about 4 years ago. With the change in ownership at Free Spirit there have been a number of changes in their designer line-up, and happily, they brought back Martha. I have a secret stash of her fabrics in my personal collection and I'm so happy to be able to add to it with this group. Her prints are always large images of flora.
This collection focusses on trees. After exploring walking routes through her hometown of Kansas City, Martha found herself going back to the Arboretum and finding joy in the flowering trees, the scattered leaves and branches and the fruit and berries to be found there.
Note - for this print, I've included our collection image, you can see that the background is not as dark as the image here provided by the manufacturer.
Spark - Think large pieced quilts with this one. Use this gorgeous lush botanicals to make a big impression and let the fabric do the work. There is an excellent free tutorial here for that. But, I cut my squares much bigger (starting at 18" square and trimming to 16") and end up with a 60" by 60" quilt. Bind with one acorn print and back it with the other!
Please note that all fabric is sold in 1/2 yard increments. If you want 1 yard, please order a quantity of 2. If you want 2 yards, you will need to order a quantity of 4.
For example
1 = 1/2 yard | 2 = 1 yard | 3 = 1 1/2 yards | 4 = 2 yards |
