Krista Hennebury is a talented blogger and sewing/quilting teacher. Her blog Poppy Prints has become a regular online destination for thousands (including me). Krista runs unique and super fun sewing retreats and through that experience came up with this inspiring book of ideas for sewing projects that work before and during a sewing meet up. I think they're also the perfect things to make as gifts or for those of us who are daunted by a 6 month project and want to sew something they can picture finishing. I love a weekend sewing plan.
From the publisher - "If sewing with friends sparks your creative passion, jump-start your next retreat or sew-in with the projects in this well-curated collection. Organize your sewing tools and supplies with nine make-ahead projects; then choose from seven more projects to stitch for fun, alongside your friends. Twelve expert designers share their inspiring ideas for sewists on the go."
- Make everything from equipment totes, a needle case, crafter's apron, and sewing machine mat to striking quilts, place mats, a pillow, and table runner
- Enjoy retreat anecdotes and advice from the pattern designers
- Relax and rejuvenate as you create something fabulous for yourself or your creative friends
