Echino - Classic Animals Metallic Silver/Grey Metallic

It's pretty hard to imagine another designer who could combine Insects, Skulls, a Buck, cougar, rhino and damask design in metallic ink on a cotton/linen blend and pull it off.  How is it not insane?!?  But, it's not, it's fantastic. I think Echino gave other designers permission to really push the design envelope. Even when she returns to her classic images, she does it with originality. 

For scale - I really wasn't sure what I'd do with this when I first ordered it, I just had to have it. Since then though, I've thought of a bunch of ideas.  I'd love a little straight skirt, not too long, to wear with a little pair of black flats for a fun "go out" look.  If I had my 10 years ago figure, I'd think about a little pair of capris pants too.  Also, a big fun tote bag that just kicks you know what.

Spark - I am a big fan of linen quilts, as anyone who has been watching Fabric Spark for a while knows, so don't be shy using these for quilted or patchwork projects. Having said that, Echino linen blends are brilliant garment fabrics for truly one-of-a-kind injections in your wardrobe.
