Pattern - Carolyn Friedlander Herringbone placemat
Beautiful patterns from Carolyn Friedlander. These placemats iare designed to work with pre-cuts (jelly rolls) or 1 3/4 yards of assorted fabric so perfect for clippings, scraps and remnants. It also promises to be a great introduction to paper piecing. If the runner looks like too big a project, think about a placemat.
For four placemants you'll need
1 package of pre-cut 2 1/2 strips or 1 3/4 yards total amount of assorted fabrics (in lots of different varieties)
1/2 for borders
1 yd fabrc for backing
4x 15"x22" pieces of cotton batting
1/2 yard binding fabric
There are even instructions for cloth napkin rings.
