Sleeves can really make or break a garment but sometimes getting them right is hard. In this class, you will learn to sew several different types of sleeves. 

  • set-in sleeves with easing
  • gathered or puffed sleeves
  • sleeveless arms with bias finish with understitching

You'll also get instructions on raglan sleeves. 

 

Students must be at least 14 years old.

Difficulty: You know how to use a sewing machine, have done some basic sewing and are ready to take on more complex garment sewing.

Pre-Requisites: You've taken Sewing School 101 or done some basic sewing at home. You should have also followed a garment pattern.

Supplies Provided:

We will provide muslin and thread to create your (downsized) samples for the class.

Need to bring:

You will get a detailed email in advance of the class but be prepared to bring your sewing kit (Fabric scissors, pins, marking pencil), notebook and pen.

Cancellations and Refunds

We are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3
participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase
price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at
least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you
can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send
someone in your place.
