About Maker's Atelier
Frances Tobin is the founder, designer, and leader of Maker’s Atelier. At Fabric Spark, we were early fans and easily embraced her fashion philosophy, she said “When creating my patterns, I take key shapes, influenced by current fashion trends, and refine them into pared-back, wearable styles. I believe that the simplest shapes – in the right fabrics – make the most successful clothes.” We agree.
Having studied Fashion and Textiles at Brighton and the Royal College of Art, and after designing for leading fashion brands in the UK, Italy, and the US, Frances had the skill and experience to bring that philosophy to life. Maker’s Atelier patterns are current, wearable and flattering on real bodies.
All Maker’s Atelier patterns sold at Fabric Spark are digital patterns. You have the option to choose to have the pattern sheets printed by us for $7.00/page (choose either pick up or shipping when you check out).
