Carolyn Friedlander Herringbone Runner Kit
Sherri from Thread Riding Hood has been working with Janome on a fun project, sewing up beautiful things with a fancy new sewing machine. She approached Fabric Spark to work with her on one of the projects and I jumped at the chance to kit this pattern. I've always wanted to promote this table runner pattern because it's a great project for someone relatively new to quilting. It's not too complicated to piece, it's pretty easy to quilt, and you end up with something you can use pretty quickly.
Sherri and I worked together to choose the fabrics and naturally looked at Carkai, also by Carolyn Friedlander.
Note - all pictures and the sample itself are from Sherri, who is not only a great sewist, and an engaging blogger, she is a great photographer.
Included in the kit are
The Herrinbone Runner pattern
A fat quarter each of 5 Carkai fabrics
1/4 yard each of two more Carkai for the binding and border
1/2 yard for the back of the runner (we chose a pretty fabric so that you can use it either way)
The kit does not include batting
