This beautiful boiled wool from the Netherlands comes in stunning colours and opens up a whole new world of garment sewing for you.  Versatile, cozy, rich and easy to wear and sew with. 

Spark - Tessuti has fantastic digital patterns that use boiled wool, so I'd start there (like this Berlin coat or the longer Brooklyn).  Also great for making scarves or a wrap where you can show off the raw edge
