Indian Cotton 2025 - Jaipur Block Printed Cotton - Pomegranates n Mustard

The wonderful block printed cottons that we've come to love from India, are the result of a lot of hands on, slow processes that have been in practice for generations. These prints were created by artisans printing with hand carved blocks (some based on traditional motifs, some on more modern designs), using the hand printing method of one block and one colour at a time. These colours are brighter because they make use of modern dyes that provide a broader and brighter palette than the natural source dyes. All are printed on cotton cambric, a fine lightweight and densely woven fabric. Perfect for garment making, lightweight quilts, hankies, and scarves.

Important note - Hand printed and dyed fabrics will have irregularities and imperfections. They may also have the odd bit of sand because they are usually created in an open air environment. Please expect these anomalies and appreciate them as a feature of a hand crafted process.
