Sewing School is designed to give you increasing levels of sewing know-how. Each class adds new techniques to enhance your skills and give you more confidence. Whether you are a complete beginner, or a skilled quilter who wants to get into garment sewing, the Sewing School classes will help you understand the steps, read and interpret pattern instructions, and give you the tools and confidence to start problem solving on your own. At the end you'll be ready to take on more complex and demanding sewing projects.

Take one or all of the classes. We have each of them on both weekdays or weekends to accommodate your schedule. They're also available for anyone 14 or older so if you have a teen at home who is keen to learn, this is a great opportunity.

Details - Flannel Pajama Pant - Learn to make a cozy, comfortable, and versatile pants pattern. The workshop utilizes the Pants #1 pattern from 100 Acts Of Sewing (included), so you can master the pattern with the pajamas and, since you'll own the pattern, you'll be able to make your next pair out of linen or something nice to step out in. Pajamas are also a fantastic gift so keep that in mind once you've become a sewing ace.

The workshop fee includes the pattern. Please buy your fabric in advance and pre-wash it in advance of the workshop.

Difficulty - You know how to thread a sewing machine, and adjust tension or you've taken Sewing School #1, 2 or 3.

Supply List - For this workshop, the pattern is included, you will need to bring your own fabric, thread, elastic and sewing kit. You will be sent a detailed list of supplies to bring to the class a few weeks ahead of your workshop. Note - please pre-wash the flannel in advance of the class. 

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place or forfeit the workshop fee. 

Students must be at least 14 years old.
