In this course, you will work with our instructor to construct a basic bodice, sleeve, and fitted skirt bottom using a commercial sewing pattern. 
We will analyze the fit of these garment components, determining the pattern alteration needed based on your body to achieve a perfect fit. The resulting bodice,  sleeve, and skirt  pattern pieces will be refined so that you will have a personal "sloper" that you can use as a base for other pattern modifications. These fit modifications can also be translated to other patterns. 

Note - you will need to do some homework after one or two of the classes.

Timing - Thursday Evenings from 6:00 - 9:00 May 30, June 6, 13, 20 (4 sessions)

NOTE - The starting pattern and fabric for testing is included in the workshop price, you will get a detailed list of what to bring closer to the class, but here is some helpful information.

Please plan to bring - Scissors (paper and fabric), Thread, Tape, Measuring tape, Pins, Seam ripper, Tailor's chalk, Hand sewing needle, Pen for marking fabric, Please bring a close-fitting camisole and leggings for the fitting portion of each class. If you do now have any of these items, please check with us. We have many of these things available to purchase or borrow for use during the class.

NOTE - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
