The Florence Coat is a long-line, oversized, unlined coat with a relaxed style. It features a collarless neckline with stitched down facing, dropped shoulders, patch pockets and full-length sleeves with turned back cuffs. The coat front sits edge-to-edge without overlap, making it the perfect lightweight layering piece for the autumn/winter months. As seams are overlapped and edges and hems left raw, the Florence Coat is best made up in boiled or felted wools that do not fray when cut.
Our workshop includes a pdf version of the pattern that we will have printed on your behalf and a 10% discount on our lovely boiled wool

Supply List - Note - the workshop includes the pattern. You will need to bring your fabric and thread. We have Pfaff Passport sewing machines for your use in the class, if you prefer to bring your own machine, you're welcome to do that instead. Please bring your fabric and sewing kit (scissors, pins, measuring tape, a chalk/pencil, and any tools you like to use when sewing garments.)

The pattern calls for "The pattern is designed for non-fraying fabrics such as boiled wools." Note pattern sizing and fabric requirements are in the images. Please buy your fabric ahead of the class. Let us know when you're checking out that it's for the workshop and we'll give you 10% off. If you make your purchase online at the time you book the class, use the promo code Florence and the 10% will be deducted from the boiled wool when you check out.

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place, otherwise you will forfeit your spot and the class fee.
