The Avid Seamstress - Gathered Dress

 The Avid Seamstress is a beautiful pattern company out of the UK with classic patterns designed for the beginner and intermediate sewist. They're classic shapes and will give you the kind of pattern versatility that can transform a wardrobe.  With any of their patterns, all you need to do is switch fabrics and you have a whole new look.  Every pattern includes a step-by-step instruction booklet, include helpful cards showing users how to take their own measurements, an easy explanation of common sewing terms, as well as a useful sewing checklist. 

The Gathered Dress is stylishly smart yet comfortable with a modern raglan sleeve, charming gathered waist at the back, a slim front silhouette, invisible zip and two different sleeve lengths. We’ve also added a dart at the shoulder to create an amazing finish. It‘s an ideal pattern for beginners as well as intermediates that want a quick, easy sew.

Note - All of the Avid Seamstress patterns are based on UK sizing.  Choose your size and fabric requirements based on the measurements NOT the size numbers.
