    Nightshade Deja Vu

We got the second annual Deja Vu collection from Tula Pink. This time she is updating Nightshade, originally released in the 2011/2012 season and a big favourite with collectors and fans.

Nightshade is about three fictional sisters, each with their own special "powers". Trust Tula to come up with an engrossing back story. You can read her original inspiration on her blog here

    New Remnant Packs are Available

We make up remnant packs in 350 gm bags. That's usually about 1 3/4 yards worth of fabric, although its definitely not an exact measure. We put like fabrics together either on a colour palette or a design theme.

We've been adding to our remnant packs so take advantage of this opportunity to get a little boost for your stash or to put together a fun project.

Winterglow by Ruby Star Society has arrived

We're noticing that several designers are creating winter collections in place of holiday or Christmas collections. This is a great trend, it's more inclusive to be sure but it also makes the fabric way more versatile and relevant beyond a potentially limited or narrow use for it.

Winterglow by Ruby Star Society is gorgeous and a great example of this welcome shift in seasonal modern fabric designing.

Architecture School Has Arrived from Free Spirit Fabrics

You kind of start your imagination wandering when someone names their fabric collection "Architecture School". William Reue (Billy) is an architect in NYC, an artist, and a quilter who discovered quilting while attending a free quilting workshop with his sister at a library in  Texas. He was intrigued by how simple materials and fabrication techniques could create complex and profound composition. Color, pattern, rhythm, hierarchy, logic -- the language of quilts is the language of architecture. He was instantly hooked. His architecture office was transformed at night into a quilting studio where friends and clients would often stop by to examine his latest design experiments.

The Fabric Spark team instantly responded to his bold colours and the ombre/border prints, be brave and use them together. Put one of the ombres on the back of a quilt or make it into a stunning dress or top to see the selvedge-to-selvedge shifting effect.
