It's Back! - Birds and Branches by Kristen Sevig

The collection is so pretty with each print depicting a different bird in the foliage of its perch, and in a lovely colour palette that mixed warm and cool colours. 

This collection was my first introduction to the designer Kristen Sevig, but I've been following her business, Stiped Pear, ever since on social media.  A fellow fan of stipes, she is from Minnesota but raised by parents who spoke Norwegian in the home. Her Nordic roots are sometimes evident in her designs. They have a dose of folk art and a lot of colour. 

The re-release of this collection gave me the excuse I was looking for to pull out one of my favourite quilts, the Big Star, One Weekend quilt that I made with the first issue of these prints. It's really a quick make, and our instructions help you figure out the layout with this directional fabric group.
