Architecture School Has Arrived from Free Spirit Fabrics
You kind of start your imagination wandering when someone names their fabric collection "Architecture School". William Reue (Billy) is an architect in NYC, an artist, and a quilter who discovered quilting while attending a free quilting workshop with his sister at a library in Texas. He was intrigued by how simple materials and fabrication techniques could create complex and profound composition. Color, pattern, rhythm, hierarchy, logic -- the language of quilts is the language of architecture. He was instantly hooked. His architecture office was transformed at night into a quilting studio where friends and clients would often stop by to examine his latest design experiments.
The Fabric Spark team instantly responded to his bold colours and the ombre/border prints, be brave and use them together. Put one of the ombres on the back of a quilt or make it into a stunning dress or top to see the selvedge-to-selvedge shifting effect.
