Gift Bag Workshop - Wednesday November 22, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Learn to make the beautiful lined drawstring bag, designed by Jeni Baker of In Colour Order. This bag can be used as a shoe bag, a gift bag, or a purse. It really is that pretty. The pattern features a contrast top, bottom and lining.

Learn to make one in the class, then go home and make a bunch for all of your holiday gift giving!

The workshop includes a digital copy of the Jeni Baker pattern.

Difficulty - confident beginners and all other levels, 14 years of age and up

Supply List - We have sewing machines available for your use. Our Pfaff Passport 3.0 are a good basic machine and suitable for this project. You will get a detailed supply list in advance of the class but you will need quilting cotton in the following quantities and coordinating thread for the class however you may be interested in the following...

The pattern suggests the following fabric requirements. for a bag that is approx. 10" tall, 7" wide, 3" deep

- 3 Fat quarters (18"x21")
- 2 yards of 1/2" twill tape, or 1/8 yd fabric (we will supply the twill tape)
- Coordinating thread
- Acrylic ruler
- Large safety pin
- a marking tool (chalk pencil etc.)

You will also need your sewing kit with scissors or snips, pins, rotary cutter. We also encourage you to bring a pen and notepaper to capture any notes. 

We have a sewing kit you can borrow for the class, and all of the notions and tools are available for sale too.

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
