    Get beautiful fabric every month

We've had a great time launching our two subscriptions.  In January we sent out this beautiful bundle to the subscribers of "Monthly Sparks".  It was curated by Jolene from Blue Elephant Stitches.

    Monthly Sparks January bundle

Our second subscription, Daryl's Picks was also launched in January and started with this pretty bundle.  It was curated by Leanne from She Can Quilt.

We're busy getting our February bundle together and can't wait to send it out. We've been working with Maureen Cracknell on that one.  For February we're aiming to send the same bundle to both groups of subscribers and I can tell you that it builds beautiful on a few of the fabrics from her Wild and Free collection for Art Gallery Fabrics.

If you're not a subscriber yet - have a look.  Monthly Sparks is sold out, but there is still a little room left in Daryl's Picks.

    Mystery Fat Quarter Event

Woohoo - everyone loves a mystery.  I love this promotion.  I will choose a beautiful designer fabric to go with your purchase and send you a fat quarter for free.  For every purchase of a yard or more (of fabric yardage), you will get a mystery fat quarter.  It's a Boxing Week gift, because it's always nice to stretch that gifting theme as long as possible.

Until December 31, get your Mystery Fat Quarter.

    Lotta

The latest collection from Lotta Jansdotter is in the shop.  Follie is a beauty.  It's a great mix of Lotta's characteristic simplicity balanced by colour and great design.  I love how the fabrics work together, but I really want to make some garments with them individually.  Have a look at the beautiful slate greys mixed with colour.  She has created something really special this time.

    I love Charley Harper

I'm excited that the new Charley Harper collection, Nurture, is here.  It is so charming, you will be more and more smitten with each new fabric you discover.  His ability to see the most basic shapes in wildlife and nature makes us see these animals differently too.  There is always a perfect amount of humour in every image.

WOOL AND THE GANG at Fabric Spark

WOOL AND THE GANG is my favourite all time source for knitting inspiration, wool, and patterns.  They have brought London fashion to the knitting world and paired it with the best quality Peruvian wool.  I'm so excited to have it for sale in Canada.  This means Canadian knitters can now get Crazy Sexy Wool without having to pay duty and high shipping costs.

    Cleta

Isn't this a lovely image?  It reminded me of a crumbling little hard cover diary I found amongst my treasures.  It was stuffed full of random bits of paper, ticket stubs, and dried piece of wildflower that had been taped to a page and crumbled a little bit more every time the diary was moved or disturbed.  I remember where that little wild flower was from.  It was a sweet moment that I wanted to remember, and the memento worked, I still have that memory locked away.
The house designers at Art Gallery Fabrics have done a great job taking these little references - what you see when riding through the city on a bicycle, and turning them into beautiful fabric.

The Japanese Imports are finally here

I fell in love with this fabric on the May long weekend while attending the International Quilt Market in Pittsburgh.  It caught my eye from way down the aisle in a large convention space.  I don't know if it was the colour, or the graphic quality of the birds, which were a stand out from far away, but I really loved it.

Echino is one of my all time favourite fabric designers so I'm so thrilled to have a few prints from this talented woman in the shop.  Please check them out and let me know what you think.
