Quilt Block Basics Workshop - Wednesday April 19 11:00 - 4:00 PM
In this 5 hour workshop you will learn multiple ways to make both half square triangles, and flying geese blocks (valuable building blocks for creating quilts). You'll learn good techniques for cutting, maintaining a consistent 1/4" seam allowance, pressing your blocks and then piecing your blocks together.
Difficulty - Great for beginner or early quilters looking to improve their techniques and create good quilt piecing habits. Students should have good familiarity with the operation of a sewing machine.
Timing - Wednesday April 19, 11:00 - 4:00 PM
Teacher - Jane Cramer
Supply List - You do not have to bring your own sewing machine to this class. We have sewing machines available for your use.
We will send a detailed reminder at least a week before the workshop, but you should plan on bringing
- five fat quarters, (two dark and three medium toned)
- your sewing kit with scissors or snips, pins, measuring tape, 12" ruler, notepad and pen
We encourage you to bring a rotary cutter and acrylic ruler. If you don't have these tools, we have kits available to borrow for the duration of the class.
Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
