In this four-hour class, students will learn the fundamentals of foundation paper piecing through a variety of exercises. The workshop will include information on: how to read and prepare templates, how to cut fabrics as you go and maximize scraps, how to sew and assemble templates with success, and various other tips and tricks. Students will apply these techniques to the class project: a wall quilt (24” square) of Lyra's Hymn, the fourth star in Cristina's Constellations Quilt Series inspired by the Lyra Constellation. A portion of the project will be completed during the class.


Difficulty - Advanced beginner, you have pieced a quilt before and can use a rotary cutter an acrylic ruler, maintain a 1/4" seam allowance, and do basic quilt math.

Supply List - The Pattern is included in the workshop price, and a fabric kit to make one 18 x 18" pillow in solids. 

Class participants will get an automatic 10% discount off the 6" Add-A-Quarter-Ruler. 

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
