In this 4 hour workshop, you'll make this fun and flirty gathered skirt from Made By Rae  that features a flat-front waistband with elastic in the back. You'll learn to make the cutout pockets and contrasting hem band. Cleo’s versatile design works with many different kinds of fabrics; the pattern suggestions are woven light to medium weight fabric such as lawn, voile, double gauze, poplin, shirting, baby wale corduroy, sateen, silk, quilting cotton, linen, or cotton-linen blends.
We're recommending cotton wovens, cotton/linen blends or quilting cottons for the class. (our sample uses the Haptic Wovens from Figo) There is a lot of wonderful inspiration here if you're looking for ideas. 

Details

Difficulty - Basic Sewing Skills (you can thread and operate a sewing machine) and are at least 14 years old

Timing - Saturday May 20 - Noon - 4:00 PM

Supply List - Note - the workshop includes a printout of the digital the pattern. You will need to bring your fabric and thread. We have Pfaff Passport sewing machines for your use in the class, if you prefer to bring your own machine, you're welcome to do that instead. Please bring your fabric and sewing kit (scissors, pins, measuring tape, a chalk/pencil, and any tools you like to use when sewing garments.)

Note - we are capping the class at 6 participants. If we have less than 3 participants, we will cancel the class and refund your full purchase price. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with at least a week's notice, we will give you a store credit. If you find you can't make it, with less than one week's notice, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
