Learn to make the Circus Tent quilt, from the quilt designer herself. You'll learn how to:

Piece a block and assemble a quadrant of the Circus Tent Quilt
Sew HSTs
Press & spin seams to minimize bulk
Play with contrasting colours to create alternating colour tiles
Demo with the PreQuilt app to explore other colour combinations or fabric pulls.

The workshop includes a copy of the Circus Tent quilt pattern to take home.

Fabric Requirements for the workshop

Prepared (precut) Fabrics:

8 warm coloured 5" squares (or colourway A)
8 cool coloured 5" squares (or colourway B)
8 warm coloured 2.5" squares (or colourway A)
8 cool coloured 2.5" squares (or colourway B)
Note - the Free Spirit Designer Solids Charm Packs are perfect for this project and available in the shop.

In case you're planning to start a quilt in the workshop that you will finish later, the fabric requirements for a baby sized finished quilt - (TOP only) are:

Fabric Colourway A (eg. warm fabrics)

50 x 5" squares
50 x 2.5" squares

Fabric Colourway B (eg. cool fabrics)

50 x 5" squares
50 x 2.5" squares

Basic Supplies

Thread for piecing
Water soluble marking pen
Small (at least 5" square) square ruler
Longer ruler (at least 8" long)
Rotary cutter
Pins
Sewing machine
Optional notions:
- Bloc Loc Ruler (at least 4.5" square)
