Sewing for Mental Health - Sunday May 6

We're having a volunteer sewing day on Sunday May 6 and raising money for an amazing cause.

We're recruiting volunteers to cut, sew, turn out, and iron sachets. We will be using beautiful donated home decor fabric from Tonic Living to make sachets that will the be filled (at a later date) with lovely aromatic lavender.  These sachets are sold by Tonic Living and 100% of the proceeds goes to Toronto's Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH). More on this below*

NOTE - we have a scent free studio so their will not be lavender in the shop or studio. If you have allergies you will not have to worry.

We need volunteers for a three hour shift on May 6 starting at either 9:30AM or 1:00PM. If you're feeling energetic, please sign up for the whole day.

You will need to bring your sewing machine and thread.  All the fabric will be provided.

We will provide cutting equipment, irons and ironing boards, tunes, and good spirit. We'll also have tea and snacks available.

If you can join us please email us at info@fabricspark.com with your name and whether you're morning or afternoon.

Thanks!!

*Here's what you're supportingEach sachet is purchased through Tonic Living. They direct the proceeds to CAMH where the Women's Trauma unit benefits by receiving funding for art supplies for their women clients to work with while they stay. As well, proceeds go to Women's College Hospital and their Art Therapy program in Toronto.
